Getting there

The start area is located near the Lomonosov Moscow State University (University Square) and on Kosygina Street.

Take the Vorobyovy Gory or Universitet metro station, Red line (1).

From Vorobyovy Gory station, follow the exit toward Vorobyovskaya Embankment and Kosygina Street.

You can also reach the start area of the 21.1 km race and relays from Lomonosovsky Prospekt station (Exit 5). This option is convenient if you plan to go directly to the start area.

There are no changing facilities or baggage storage services at the start area. Bag transfer from the start area to the finish area is not available. If you plan to use baggage storage on race day, please go directly to the finish area at Luzhniki Olympic Complex. It is available on race day only – Sunday, April 26.

If you plan to use baggage storage at Luzhniki Olympic Complex, we recommend arriving via:

Luzhniki MCC station or Sportivnaya metro station. Please follow signs and volunteer directions to get from the baggage storage in the finish area to the start corrals on Kosygina Street.

The finish area is located at the Luzhniki Olympic Complex.

Recommended stations: Vorobyovy Gory (Line 1), Sportivnaya (Line 1), Luzhniki (MCC Line 14).

Directions:

From Sportivnaya or Luzhniki: follow signs to the main entrance of Luzhniki.

Please use metro or MCC. It’s the fastest and the most convenient way to get to the start and finish area. We do not recommend coming by public transport or by car: the streets are blocked, the stops are far away, and there are no parking spots available.

Plan your route and extra travel time. Please take into account possible delays and queues due to the number of participants. Arrive 1.5 hours before the start if you don’t want to ruin the experience with haste and being late.

The start area is open to runners only from 07.00.

Support along the course

Fan map

We’ve marked cheer zones along the course on a special fan map to help guide runners and spectators during the Moscow Half Marathon.

Here you’ll find music spots, running club stations, and partner areas. Join any of them: the more, the merrier!

Important guidelines

Tens of thousands of runners take part in the half marathon, so it's essential to follow some simple rules for everyone's safety. In this section, you can learn about what is not recommended or strictly prohibited. These rules are really important. Please, read them carefully:

  • Do not park near cheer zones: this poses a risk to runners and fellow spectators, and may result in a fine. Use public transport, scooters, or bicycles to get around.
  • Do not set up tents or arches on your own. Please, contact us if you want to install any structures.
  • Do not use pyrotechnics, smoke bombs, or any items that could harm participants or others nearby. Instead, use cheering gear like rattles, clappers, whistles, and pom-poms.
  • Do not hand out water or food to runners: official refreshment stations are available along the course.
  • Do not enter the course: this disrupts the flow of the race. Only cross the route where permitted. Ask race staff for assistance.
  • Do not interfere with participants. If a runner needs medical attention, please alert a race official or a volunteer immediately.

We respect the daily life of local residents. In certain areas along the course, noise levels must remain within specified limits. Please refer to the designated noise control map and avoid using loud music or sound equipment in areas where it may disturb residents, especially early on Sunday morning.

We kindly ask that you follow any instructions or guidance from event organizers and city authorities.

For Volunteers

Running Community's Volunteers

Anyone aged 14 and older can become a Running Community volunteer. Our team brings together people from all walks of life — teenagers and senior volunteers, company executives and students. Everyone is welcome!

Volunteering at Running Community events — from indoor races to the Moscow Marathon and other major running events across Russia — is more than just helping out. It’s a valuable experience and a chance to see how large-scale events come to life. You’ll also meet like-minded people and make new friends.

What do volunteers do?

Volunteers are involved both on race days and in the days leading up to the event. They support the organizing team in various areas, including race packet distribution, Sports Expo, sports operations, PR and media, event production and other departments.

What do volunteers get?

We make sure our volunteers feel supported and well-prepared. They have briefings and training, comfortable working conditions, access to a dedicated volunteer area, meals during their shift, and a necessary equipment. And of course, a thank-you gift at the end of the event.

Charity

Bolshe Chem Mozhesh Foundation

The official charity partner of the 2026 Moscow Half Marathon is Bolshe Chem Mozhesh Foundation.

Over 10 years, the foundation has helped people with disabilities lead active lifestyle and become amateur athletes regardless of their diagnoses. The foundation organizes regular general fitness and running sessions in seven cities across Russia. Its participants include people with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, musculoskeletal conditions, and other health conditions that often limit access to sports. The foundation also supports combat veterans, helping them regain an active lifestyle through movement.

Thanks to the support of volunteers, professional coaches, and rehabilitation specialists, participants who once couldn’t take a single step are now crossing finish lines at marathons and races.

You can contribute to advancing sports inclusion by visiting the special joint page of the Foundation and the Running Community.
